Online Arizona CCW Class

I offer this class as a standalone or at the completion of the Basic Firearm Safety Class to cover the additional information for those who wish to apply for an AZ CCW or become more informed about the responsibilities of carrying a weapon.

What you will learn:

1. Basic firearm safety focusing on you having a firearm in public/home and things you need to know. 

2. Ammunition specific to personal/home defense.

3. Basic overview of Arizona Statutes related to carrying and using weapons

4. I will discuss the reality of self defense and the liability you may face if you have to defend yourself.

5. Overview of application process*.

Because of safety concerns and limitations of online presentations, I do not have students handle any firearms during the online portion of instruction. I will demonstrate techniques and procedures using firearms and simulated ammo for discussion. Any students needing hands on experience are encouraged (STRONGLY) to schedule range time with me.

What do I need to take this class?

You will need a Computer or Tablet with a camera and microphone, a GMAIL account and an internet connection.

What if I don’t have those?

Sorry I can’t offer this course without 2-way communication with the student. I recommend attending in person.

Cost - Private Instruction (1 Student)

* If you schedule range time I will provide the DPS applications and take your fingerprints at the range. Otherwise you will receive an application kit in the mail and will need to make arrangements to get fingerprinted elsewhere at your own expense.

** Range fees at Ben Avery have changed and I now have to meet minimums for each range. I will implement a tiered rate depending on how many student are scheduled for the range.
