Some individual one-on-one mentoring opportunities will be available. \nThe range will be periodically reconfigured to change from pistols to “long guns” so that we can shoot our guns. \nI will have a few firearms on hand for limited trial. \n\n\nThis will be a low intensity activity. Minors 12 years and older\, new and intermediate shooters welcome.  \n  \n\n \nBen Avery Shooting Facility – Small bore Range\n \n  \n  Please send me an e-mail confirming your interest so I can plan activities according to participation. All shooters will be required to help pick up brass and clean up. You must have hearing and eye protection to be on the range\, even observers. DESCRIPTION:Basic Firearms Safety Class\n\n\nThis basic class is tailored for families\, teens\, groups or individuals that want to promote safe and responsible gun use. This class is geared toward novice or inexperienced shooters\, but all skill levels are welcome. \nYou will learn about: \n\nHandgun types and operation (revolver\, semi-auto\, single action\, double action)\nTechniques to load\, operate\, unload\, and clean your firearm\nAmmunition (types\, uses)\n2+ hours of live fire training\nHow to store your firearms and ammunition\nKids and firearms in your home\nFirearm ownership responsibilities and liabilities\, brief overview of the AZ CCW process.\n\nMinors\, 12 years old and up\, are welcome\, provided they are accompanied by a parent. \nI will provide safe\, plastic ammunition for the classroom portion of this training\, I only have .22LR\, .38/.357\, 9MM\, .380 and .45 ACP for use. If you have a firearm in a different caliber\, it can be used for live fire and I will have a suitable type for the classroom. \n  \n\nBen Avery Shooting Facility – Practical Pistol Range E \n  \nEvent will be from 0700-1200.
